Margaret's love of photography was born in the 1960s when she
was given an SLR camera, but over the intervening years, it never
became a serious pursuit. As a country veterinarian and single
parent there was no time for a hobby.
In 2003, having moved to a less demanding life style, she bought a new camera, albeit a 35mm film type, and discovered that in spite of bad eyesight, with autofocus, it was possible to take good photos. Since then she has been on a steep learning curve, photographing anything and everything, and has not yet settled into any comfort zone.
In 2004, Margaret joined the Canberra Photographic Society, and has found it an enriching and informative experience.
